Destroy me

Destroy me

The parts of me that have built walls against pleasure and love.

Smooth my edges until I am formless, soft clay in your hands, shaped by your fingertips, breath by breath, word by word. Slowly unravel me, like a thread pulled from a seam, and
reveal all the frayed, fragile places within me.
The ones I have hidden and guarded,
until you came to tear down my walls, stone by stone, kiss by kiss. Yes, tear me down until only this raw pain remains.
This hunger that only you can satisfy, that only you can deepen. Because that is what we should be -
loving with unrestrained devotion, losing ourselves completely. Two souls intertwined, each breath a promise, every touch a surrender.
Perhaps that is what it means to love.
To stand before each other, vulnerable and naked, and say: Yes, take me. Destroy me. I want you to destroy me, to come like a storm, wild and relentless, and tear open every protected part of me, until all that remains is raw and exposed,
ready for the ascent that only you can bring about. Let us be shaken by sensual souls that reveal what lies behind the barriers,
every touch a sweet destruction.
Every kiss a deep fall,
entangled in sheets and shadows,
where words lose their way
and only breath and skin remain. I want to lose myself in you,
to be slowly taken apart, piece by piece,
until there is no before and no after -
only this trembling now,
only this feverish moment that stretches on and on.
Because isn't that exactly what love is supposed to do? To strip us bare, to make us whole by destroying us, until all that we know, all that we feel,
this beautiful ruin remains. So take me.
Destroy me.
Let desire dismantle us,
until we are left trembling,
lost, consumed, a beautiful wreck of love. ~ Larson Langston
