I don't want you to stay out of commitment, out of habit or out of fear of loneliness. I want you to stay because even if you have the freedom to leave, you choose to stay with me. Because true love doesn't beg. You don't have to.
Don't hold on to invisible chains or empty promises. Healthy love is born from willingness, from a sincere desire to share life with someone, even on difficult days.
I don't want a distracted presence, nor a half-hearted.
I don't want to feel like I have to convince you everyday that you love me or that I'm worth it. Love shouldn't feel like a constant fight to hold back someone who's always looking out the door.
I want someone who stays because he finds peace in my company, because my embrace makes him feel home, because among so many choices in the world... keep choosing me.
And yes, we all have moments of doubt, fatigue or fear. But there's a big difference between who stays wanting to be and who just stays because they don't know how to leave.
Because not wanting to do it also hurts.
It is noticeable in absences even though the body is still present, in silences, in indifference, in empty words.
That's why I don't want to force you into anything.
The love that is begged ends up breaking the soul.
I want you to want to stay
That when life gets complicated, don't seek to escape but build. May you choose me not only when everything is beautiful, but also when it comes to supporting each other.
Because in the end, the most beautiful love is not the one that holds back...
is the one who, having freedom, decides to stay every day. 💫
I liked it a lot ©️ D.R.
