RELATIONSHIP

Romance is the idea of touch,

Romance is the idea of touch,

Woman, romance is the idea of touch, not merely physical touch. That is why I said earlier that romance is spiritual.

You cannot hold it in your hands; it can only be felt. It is a state of being. You begin to experience this when your body feels deeply alive, connected, and healed. Otherwise, it can be difficult to recognize because romance, at its deepest level, is incredibly subtle. Romance is not simply someone touching your skin. It is the anticipation before the touch, the warmth moving through your body, the softness in your heart, and the feeling of being completely present in a moment. Sometimes nothing physically happens, yet your entire body feels touched. A glance, a voice, a fragrance, music, rain, silence, or even the movement of the wind can awaken something beautiful within you.
This is why romance does not have to depend entirely on another person. When you are deeply connected with yourself, you begin to discover romance within your own existence. You can feel romance while watching the sunrise, walking barefoot on the earth, preparing your food slowly, dressing beautifully for yourself, dancing alone, or simply sitting quietly with your own body. When the body becomes more sensitive and present, ordinary experiences become extraordinary. You start noticing sensations and emotions that you previously moved past without feeling. Healing can deepen this sensitivity. As you work through fear, shame, grief, emotional wounds, and protective patterns, you may find yourself becoming more available to tenderness, pleasure, beauty, and connection.
And this sensitivity is not weakness. It is the capacity to experience life more fully—to notice what is happening within you instead of constantly searching outside yourself for stimulation. A woman who discovers this does not need to wait for someone else to bring romance into her life. She begins creating a romantic relationship with life itself. Then physical touch also becomes different. Touch is no longer only about the hands or the skin; it carries presence, trust, attention, emotional connection, and meaning. This is where romance becomes spiritual. You are no longer simply experiencing an action—you are experiencing the energy, emotion, presence, and intimacy surrounding that action.
Eventually, you realize that romance is not something you possess. Romance is something you become available to feel. When your body, heart, and awareness are present together, life itself can begin to feel intimate. Woman, this is the deeper romance I am talking about: not constantly chasing someone to make you feel alive, but becoming so connected with yourself that you can feel the poetry already moving through your body and through life.
