They are disconnected from themselves because they got used to pushing past what they feel. That is the point.
A lot of healing spaces teach women how to open.
How to feel more.
How to awaken desire.
How to soften.
How to receive.
And yes, that can be beautiful.
But if a woman does not feel safe enough to slow down, pause, pull back, or say no, then all that opening can turn into pressure.
That is where the damage starts.
Because the issue is not always that she cannot feel.
Sometimes she feels too much.
Too fast.
Too deeply.
Without enough safety to stay present inside it.
So her body does what bodies do when they do not feel safe.
It shuts things down.
Desire drops.
Numbness shows up.
Tension builds.
She disconnects.
She avoids.
She people-pleases.
She goes along with things while quietly leaving herself behind.
And then she blames herself for it.
That is what so many women have been taught to do.
To call themselves broken instead of asking whether they have been overriding their own pace for too long.
Here is the part that needs to be said more clearly.
Opening is not the goal by itself.
If you do not know how to stay connected to yourself while open, then being open will start to feel unsafe.
If you do not know how to stop, then your body will stop for you.
If you do not feel free to say slower, not now, or this does not feel right, then your yes is not fully rooted in self-trust.
And without self-trust, intimacy starts feeling like performance.
Not connection.
Not safety.
Not love.
Performance.
A woman does not become more healed by forcing herself to be available when she is tired, unsure, tense, or emotionally gone.
She becomes more fragmented.
That is why learning your limits matters.
That is why pacing matters.
That is why boundaries matter.
That is why honesty with yourself matters.
Not every closed moment is fear.
Not every pause is sabotage.
Not every loss of desire means something is wrong.
Sometimes your body is protecting you from going somewhere your spirit has not agreed to go.
That protection is not weakness.
It is intelligence.
Real healing is not just learning how to open your body, your heart, or your desire.
Real healing is learning how to stay with yourself.
To notice when you are forcing.
To notice when you are disappearing.
To notice when you are saying yes from pressure instead of truth.
To notice when your body needs gentleness more than growth.
That is what changes everything.
Because a woman who knows she can stop does not have to fear opening.
A woman who knows she can choose does not have to perform comfort.
A woman who trusts her own no will eventually trust her own yes.
And that yes will be real.
Not borrowed.
Not pressured.
Not faked.
Not given to keep the peace.
Real.
That is the kind of healing more women need.
Not more pressure to open.
More permission to listen.
